Congratulations Te Mahia tamariki!

As you may all be aware we are a Bronze Enviro-school, which means we pay a lot of attention to creating a sustainable environment for the future. We are very involved in our environment, especially the Whangawehi Awa, and we have been working very hard all year on new and exciting ways to improve the environmental quality of Te Mahia.

So this last week we have been working our little hands off getting ourselves prepared for our Enviro-School Celebration.

Today we celebrated with invited VIP's from around the community and further afar. They were invited to come to Te Mahia Kura and see if they thought our hard work conserving the environment was enough to make us a SILVER envrio-school! And guess what!!!

They all agreed that YES we are very worthy of being A SILVER ENVIRO-SCHOOL!

So a very big CONGRATULATIONS to all Te Mahia Kura tamariki who have worked very hard at making this happen, as well as all those beautiful people out in the community who constantly give their time to us here at school. Without all of you this would not be happening.

After the decision was made thisafternoon, all the tamariki had an ice cream to celebrate, and then when  our award arrives we will have to have another party!
