Happy!

Room 3 (and the school) are practising "Happy" to sing at Prize Giving this year. Heres a clip so you can all have a practise!

Last term and Week 1!

I hope you all had a safe and happy holiday!
So nice to be back at school with well rested kiddies who are pretty excited about everything that will be happening this term!

Last Day Pirates at their Pirate party!
The last week of last term we were super busy- and had so many cool things happening. Our school was awesome at Performing Arts! They looked, sounded and were overall AMAZING! They should all be very proud of themselves!

We were very lucky to also meet Will Hall. Will used to be Doctor Kip on Shortland Street. He told the kids about the importance of reading, and showed us one of his scripts from one of his Shorties episodes. It was a lot of reading just for one episode!

Last week we started back into what will be the busiest term this year! On Wednesday we headed off on an observation day for enviroschools. We split into two groups and swapped over activities mid day. The group I was with headed to the settling ponds first. We met Jason at the new sewerage system and tanks in Mahia where he explained what happens with our waste water. Then we headed up the Kinikini Road to see the settling ponds- my gosh they are massive! Our group ended up getting stuck behind a stock truck trailer so we had to do a wee bit of walking- before having lunch at the boat club, and then heading off for a look at the Opoutama and Oraka Wetlands.

A very big Thankyou to the parents who came and helped for the day- your support is awesome to have!

We have another busy week, and a short week too. Don't forget Pet Day tomorrow! Also please make sure you check your children's bags/book bags for notices everyday. There is a lot going on this term.

Hope you all have a lovely week, and enjoy your long weekends!
