What we've been up to

How are we already into Week 4?

We have been having a lot of fun here in Room 3. This term we are learning about how our bodies work.
We know that the heart is a muscle in our body that pumps blood all around it.

We also spent Te Wiki o Te Reo learning some of our body parts in Te Reo.
We used this video here to learn " Mahunga, Pakihiwi, Puku, Hope, Waewae".

After we learnt these names we traced around ourselves on paper and labelled ourselves with all our body parts. If you are around school in the next week come and see our cool people hanging on our windows.

We have also had Kylie from the library come and visit us. We are doing the Wairoa Library Winter Warmers project, so Kylie had come to see how our book reviews were going! 100% of Room 3 had completed their book reviews so we all received a brand new packet of playing cards!

The very talented Jhalena competed in the Wairoa Schools Speech Competition last week and she was awesome. She had to speak in front of a very big crowd and she was very confident and spoke nice and clearly. Ka pai Jhalena!

We hope you are all staying nice and warm in this cold weather!

Miss D'Ath and Room 3
