Week 6

Another busy week!

The count down is on for pet day- happening in week 10 (Tuesday the 23rd), as well as counting down to Performing arts (also in Week 10)! We started rehearsing this week and Room 3 were super stars! Some of our class have very important roles (sea creatures), as well as lines that need to be learnt!

We spent a lot of time focussing on our fractions this week, which resulted in us making pizzas, to practice splitting shapes into halves and quarters. All of Room 3 need to be able to read 1/2 and 1/4, which they are all very good at!

Tuhi's tasty pizza!

Lucas showing his well planned halves and quarters.

On Friday we celebrated daffodil day! Everyone in Room 3 dressed up which was fantastic to see! We had some very funky costumes including a bumble bee and a princess! Miss Violet and Shayne both won prizes for their awesome costumes. Our whole class celebrated by making daffodil day cookies.... perhaps some of them made it home for sampling??

Our colourful school!

Our class all dressed up!

The term is whizzing by. This next week we have Miss Reeves coming out to help us with our maths learning. We have our planting day down at the Whangawehi Bridge on Thursday- we would love your help if you have spare time! Hope you all have a lovely week 7!

  1. Tuhi that is such a cooooooool photo of you trying to eat your pizza. I was super impressed at assembly with you guys sharing your learning. You always seem to have creative ways of learning important things. Way to go Shayne and Miss Violet - your yellowness beamed brightly like the rays of the Mahia sun. Keep practicing those lines Room 3, you need to know them off by heart and also when you need to say them. Look after Miss D'Ath for me - she is working incredibly hard because she wants you all to be super stars with everything you do. Pai to ra Miss O'B
