Mathematicians
Room 3 tamariki have their thinking caps on this week with their maths learning. The Kowhai Group (Hikurangi, Oasis, Tarquinn, James, and Shevryn) were learning to solve
add/sub problems by imaging tens frames that involves crossing over from one
column of 5 to the other to work the answer out. The Kakariki Group (Violet, Rome, Shayne and Cleo) were learning to count down to solve subtraction problems with larger numbers.
Both groups were thinking really hard about what they know in regards to number knowledge and seeing patterns with numbers, some tamariki are also learning new strategies/more efficient strategies to solve maths problems. Ka mau te wehi nga tamariki o ruma toru!!
